The use affirmations for success is a technique that many wealthy and thriving individuals have employed in order to transform their lives. Among motivational speakers there is a popular phrase that goes, “Your outside always follows your inside.” What this means is that a person needs to change his “inside” environment before he will every be able to make lasting, positive changes in his outside environment. People who are struggling to find happiness and success in their lives need to spend more time altering their mindsets and less time focusing on what they lack on the outside.

Affirmations For Success

It’s a hard lesson for most people to understand. But those who have mastered the process of using affirmations for success have seen remarkable, almost miraculous transformations in their lives. Affirmations are basically positive messages that are repeated to oneself over time. Affirmations said only a few times won’t cause any changes at all. They need to be repeated with faith and dedication every day, even multiple times per day, in order to truly make a difference and modify the inner being. Affirmations work because they are one of the best ways of telling the powerful subconscious mind what to do. Once the subconscious gets a direction and truly believes in it, it will do everything it can to send ideas and motivation to the conscious mind in order to make the direction a reality.

3 Tips To Getting The Most Out Of Affirmations for Success:

1. Affirmations should be positive. Using negative words like “not,” “don’t,” and “won’t” can confuse the subconscious mind and stall changes. Always make affirmations positive statements. So someone wanting to stop the habit of drinking alcohol would not use the statement, “I will not drink alcohol anymore.” A more effective affirmation would be, “I am sober and happy.”

2. Affirmations should be in the present tense. Using a statement that could be true at some future time doesn’t work well as an affirmation. Instead of saying, “I will earn $50,000 next year,” a more powerful statement would be, “I currently earn $50,000 per year.” The goal is to convince the subconscious mind that you affirmation is already happening. To do this, affirmations for success need to be in present tense.

3. Affirmations should be specific. The more specific a statement is, the more focused the subconscious mind can be at helping make that statement a reality. If a person wanted to lose weight, she needs to give her affirmation laser beam focus. She wouldn’t say to herself, “I want to lose weight.” That’s too vague to be beneficial. A more potent affirmation would be, “I currently weigh 135 pounds.”

Affirmations For Success – Conclusion

People who are not satisfied with their lives need to turn inward in order to find out how to succeed. It’s paradoxical to think that in order for a person to better their outside life including what they own, where they live, how healthy they are, and how much money they earn, that they need to first change the inner workings of themselves. Few people ever comprehend this concept, and even fewer still are able to master it. However, those who have the lives that others truly envy almost always, either consciously or unconsciously, used affirmations for success as the foundations for their transformations and accomplishments.
